शिव के माता पिता से जुड़े प्रशन का उत्तर देते हुए भगवान शिव ने ऋषियो की इस जिज्ञासा को शांत करते हुए कहा कि ,मुझे इस सृष्टि का निर्माण करने वाले भगवान ब्रह्मा ने जन्म दिया है !
ऋषियों की जिज्ञासा इतने में शांत नहीं हुई तो उन्होंने फिर एक बार भगवान शिव से प्रशन पूछा कि अगर ब्रह्मा आपके पिता है ,तो फिर आप के दादाजी कौन है ?
भगवान शिव ने इस बात का जवाब देते हुए कहा कि इस सृष्टि का पालन करने वाले भगवान विष्णु ही मेरे दादाजी हैं !
भगवान की इस लीला से अंजान ऋषियों ने फिर से प्शन किया कि अगर आपके पिता ब्रह्मा है ,और दादाजी विष्णु है ! तो फिर आपके परदादा कौन है ?
ऋषियों के इस प्रशन को सुन भगवान शिव ने मुस्कुराते हुए कहा कि भगवान शिव खुद ही मेरे परदादा है !
श्रीमद् देवी महापुराण के अनुसार कहा जाता है ,कि एक बार नारद जी ने अपने पिता ब्रह्मा से सवाल किया था ! कि इस सृष्टि का निर्माण किसने किया है ?
ब्रह्माजी ने भगवान विष्णु ने या फिर स्वयं भगवान शिव ने तथा इन तीनों भगवान को जन्म किसने दिया है ?
अर्थात आपके माता पिता कौन है ?
तब परमपिता ब्रम्हा ने त्रिदेवों की जन्म की गाथा का वर्णन करते हुए कहा की …..
प्रकृति स्वरूप दुर्गा और काल सदाशिव स्वरूप ब्रह्मा के योग से ब्रह्मा, विष्णु और महेश की उत्पत्ति हुई है !
अर्थात प्रकृति स्वरूप दुर्गा की माता है ,और ब्रह्मा यानि काल सदाशिव के पिता है !
पुराणों में भगवान शिव और आदि-शक्ति की महिमाँओं के अलग-अलग उल्लेख मिलते हैं !
लेकिन ईश्वर की लीला तो वही जाने उनकी लीलाओं को समझना हम इंसानों के बस की बात नहीं है !
क्यो कि भगवान शिव तो देवों के देव भी हैं ,और वही आदि है ,और वही अंत भी है !
